Donald Spence, FCA, FCBV

Donald Spence, Managing Director, has been involved in business valuations and business sales and acquisitions and related matters since 1985. He has advised shareholders and owner managers of businesses operating in virtually every industry in Canada. Mr. Spence is a senior negotiator whose expertise has helped his clients meet and in many instances surpass their goals and objectives. Prior to forming Spence Valuation Group and TailWind Corporate Finance Group, Don was the Regional Partner-in-charge of the financial advisory group of a large national accounting and consulting firm.

Lorraine McGrath, MBA, ICD.D

Lorraine McGrath has an impressive track record for consistent delivery of outstanding results in financial services and more recently as President of a Canadian public company in the retail and pharmacy industries. As a senior corporate executive and co-founder/director of a private equity fund, Lorraine has gained experience in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. Ms. McGrath brings an extensive network and knowledge of a broad range of industries to the TailWind Group. She works closely with boards and senior executives to determine the optimum strategy to grow, exit or transform the business. As an experienced chief operator, certified corporate director with a strong bias for results, Lorraine adds to the power of the TailWind Group.

Derek Sanders, CA, CBV, CFA

Derek Sanders has been working in the area of business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation support services since 2004. He has experience with businesses operating in a variety of industries including a broad range of manufacturing industries, service, construction, distribution, technology, and retail. Mr. Sanders is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C., and the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute. He was the silver medalist when he wrote his national CBV exam and placed in the Top 10 in B.C. when he completed his C.A. exams.
